Tierra Rejada Golf Club in Moor Park (20 minutes north of Los Angeles) is a spectacular Robert E Cupp championship design that provides a private level of quality and service to the golfing public. Recognized as one of the top daily fee courses in the region, Tierra Rejada is set high in the rolling foothills of eastern Ventura County, with plush conditioning, sparkling lakes, streams and waterfalls. Panoramic vistas can be observed from every tee box and green.
On property is a full service clubhouse with golf shop, comfortable lounge, and well appointed dining area open for breakfast and lunch. T J's Restaurant does not offer the standard golf clubhouse fare - but rather has a great variety of specials on their breakfast and lunch menus. Practice facilities include targeted grass range, short game area with sand bunker plus putting green.
Pro Shot GPS on all carts provides accurate measurements and the course also provides yardage markers on the fairways at 100, 150 and 200 yards, with color coded flags on the various sizes of undulating greens that indicate the day's hole locations. Collection areas, moguls and grassy swales as well as sand traps, are usually part of the complex on most greens. The fairways are undulating and quite narrow, though many are situated between slopes which create somewhat of a funnel effect.
Golfers will encounter very few level holes, as the terrain winds up and down the hillsides with significant elevation changes. There are numerous canyon and ravine carries, and several holes provide risk reward opportunities which make for an interesting round. The views from the many elevated tee boxes are outstanding, especially on the par four 8th and par five 9th. The water features greenside on the par 4 thirteenth and the par 3 fourteenth as well as the par four finishing hole are also exceptional.
Four sets of tee boxes play to distances and slopes measuring 7017 yards/130 slope, 6557 yards/125 slope, 6005 yards/121 slope and 5148 yards with a slope of 123 for women hitting from the forward tees. As these slopes indicate, this is a player friendly design - particularly from the two front tee areas.
